Detective Ezekiel "Zeke" Banks is a seasoned yet brusque police officer working in the shadow of his father, Marcus Banks, a revered former police chief. Zeke is unpopular among his peers due to his contentious past where he exposed a corrupt officer, resulting in a lack of trust and support from his colleagues. Tasked with training a rookie detective, William Schenk, Zeke throws himself into solving a series of grisly murders targeting police officers. These killings harken to the infamous modus operandi of the long-dormant Jigsaw killer, who was notorious for his elaborate and brutal traps designed to test his victims' moral compass and will to live.

As the investigation unfolds, Zeke finds himself entangled in a sinister game masterminded by a copycat killer. This new antagonist is not only replicating Jigsaw's heinous devices but also appears to be driven by a vendetta against corrupt cops, aiming to root out injustice within the police force. Zeke must navigate a treacherous path, deciphering cryptic clues and confronting the dysfunctional and potentially criminal elements ingrained in the police department.
