PlotFive friends embark on a road trip across rural Texas to visit the grave of a relative, concerned that reports of vandalism and grave robbing might have affected their loved one’s resting place. After ensuring the grave is intact, they decide to visit an old family homestead nearby. Filled with nostalgia and a sense of adventure, they are unaware of the horror that awaits them. Along the way, they pick up a hitchhiker who behaves bizarrely, unsettling the group with his strange demeanor and gruesome tales of a local slaughterhouse. Unease sets in, but they unwisely continue their journey, dismissing the encounter as a mere oddity.
Upon arriving at the dilapidated family home, they explore the surrounding woods and stumble upon a neighboring residence. When a couple of them head to the house seeking gasoline for their vehicle, they encounter a nightmarish situation. A mask-wearing, chainsaw-wielding figure emerges, beginning a terrifying chase that pulls the friends into a world of madness and cannibalism. Their innocent trip transforms into a struggle for survival against a deranged and brutal family, lurking in the isolated Texas backwoods, their gruesome lifestyle hidden from the eyes of society. The nightmare escalates as the remaining friends desperately seek escape, with fear and disbelief their only companions in the unforgiving landscape.
