PlotIn a seedy 1890s New York City nightclub, sultry singer Lady Lou works for owner Gus Jordan. Lou is romantically involved with Gus, unaware of his illicit activities, including a counterfeiting ring and exploitation of young women. She charms all the men around her, earning their devotion and stirring up jealousy among the women. The suave Captain Cummings, who runs a nearby mission, visits the club, appearing to show only disdain for Lou’s lifestyle. However, there's more beneath his stern exterior.
As tension builds, Lou's past begins to catch up with her when an ex-lover, Chick Clark, escapes from prison. Clark is determined to reclaim Lou's affections, creating further complications in her life. Meanwhile, with the law closing in on Gus's criminal enterprises, suspicion falls on everyone at the club. Lou navigates a web of deceit and temptation, balancing her desire for attention with the dangerous liaisons surrounding her. Amidst the chaos, she must decide where her loyalties lie while facing tough choices that may change her life forever.
