Facing the Giants

Actors: Alex Kendrick, Shannen Fields, Jason McLeod
PlotGrant Taylor is a high school football coach at a Christian school, who has been coaching for six years without a winning season. When faced with personal crises, including potential infertility with his wife Brooke and a looming dismissal from school parents dissatisfied with his coaching record, Grant's future looks bleak. The once hopeful and vibrant coach grapples with his self-worth and searches for a solution to his professional and personal struggles. The Shiloh Eagles, his underdog team, suffer from morale issues, little to no respect in the league, and a losing streak that haunts their progress. Grant’s own insecurities and battles with fear reflect in his team's performance on the field.
In search of a breakthrough, Grant unexpectedly encounters an inspiring message that challenges him to trust more deeply in his faith and to believe that impossible odds can be overcome. Armed with this newfound perspective, he decides to implement radical changes in his coaching strategy and philosophy, focusing on strength of spirit and character development over mere physical prowess. As the team begins to train under these fresh but unorthodox methods, the players find their attitudes and skills being transformed. Off the field, Grant also begins to confront his fears and cultivates a stronger relationship with Brooke, turning to faith to help them through their personal trials. As the football season progresses, the Eagles start to gain momentum, facing each obstacle with a renewed sense of unity and determination.
