PlotEve Gill, an aspiring actress, gets drawn into a web of intrigue when her friend Jonathan Cooper seeks her help. Jonathan, desperate and on the run, is accused of murdering his lover's husband. He explains his predicament to Eve, claiming his innocence and asserting that the blame lies with the renowned stage actress Charlotte Inwood. Entranced by Jonathan and determined to prove his innocence, Eve decides to delve into the world of deception, disguises, and danger.
