Nic, his girlfriend Haley, and their friend Jonah are on a road trip to move Haley to California. During their journey, they decide to track down a mysterious hacker named Nomad who had previously exposed a flaw in MIT's security system, leading to their suspension. Following clues left by Nomad, they arrive at an isolated, abandoned house in the Nevada desert. As they investigate the eerily silent house, something inexplicably happens, and the trio loses consciousness.
