PlotLuo Hongwu, a solitary drifter, returns to his hometown of Kaili after many years to attend his father's funeral. While there, he becomes haunted by the memories of a woman named Wan Qiwen, with whom he had a passionate but fleeting romance. Luo embarks on a quest to find her, driven by fragmented memories and cryptic clues. Wandering through dilapidated streets and encountering mysterious characters from his past, he slowly uncovers layers of his own history intertwined with the enigmatic presence of Wan Qiwen. His journey is laden with melancholy as he navigates a dreamlike reality where time and space seem fluid.
As Luo’s investigation deepens, his path becomes increasingly surreal, blending the line between memory and present experience. He traverses through abandoned theaters, eerie corridors, and mist-covered landscapes, each step drawing him nearer to elusive recollections and obscure truths. The narrative shifts to reflect Luo's internal state, portraying a man consumed by his longing and regrets.
