Enchanted
Director: Kevin Lima
Actors: Amy Adams, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden
PlotIn an animated fairy tale world, a young and naive princess is preparing for her wedding to a handsome prince. However, her dreams are thwarted by an evil queen who, fearing the loss of her throne, banishes the princess to a place where there are no happily ever afters. This place turns out to be modern-day New York City, a stark contrast to the princess's animated realm. Suddenly transformed into a live-action version of herself, she is lost and confused in this new environment that operates on principles far removed from the ones she knows. Despite her predicament, she retains her optimistic and loving nature, believing in the power of true love.
Finding herself in the bustling and cynical world of New York, the princess encounters a divorced lawyer and his young daughter, who take her in out of compassion. As she navigates through the complexities of the real world with a fairy tale perspective, she begins to influence those around her in unexpected ways. Her kind-heartedness and boundless optimism start to break down the barriers around the lawyer's heart, leading to an unusual but burgeoning friendship. Meanwhile, back in her world, the tale unfolds as the true intentions of the evil queen are revealed, setting the stage for a confrontation between the worlds of fantasy and reality. The princess must find a way to bridge these two worlds, challenging her beliefs and discovering her true strength in the process.
