Actors: Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins
PlotLara Croft is a fiercely independent young woman who works as a bike courier in London, struggling to make her own way rather than taking on her missing father's global empire. Richard Croft disappeared seven years ago, presumed dead after venturing to solve the mystery of the mythical Queen Himiko, said to possess deadly powers, on a remote island off the coast of Japan. Despite her father's final wishes for her not to follow in his footsteps, the determined and headstrong Lara sets out to find out what really happened to him. After discovering a secret room with clues to his last-known destination, she decides to leave behind her life in London and embark upon a perilous journey to the island.
Upon arrival at the island, Lara encounters dangerous conditions and the ruthless leader of an expedition, Mathias Vogel, who is also searching for Himiko's tomb for an organization known as Trinity. Lara must rely on her sharp mind, blind faith, and inherently stubborn spirit to venture into the unknown and untangle the enigmatic history her father was so engrossed with. As she struggles to survive the island's many challenges, she starts to understand the lengths to which her father went to prevent a great power from falling into the wrong hands, and how his journey has now become hers.
