Director: Chris Carter
Actors: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Billy Connolly
PlotHaving moved on from their roles in the FBI, former agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are drawn back into the murky world of the paranormal when an FBI task force approaches Scully for help. They are seeking the intuitive insights of Mulder on a case that baffles them: the mysterious disappearance of a group of women in West Virginia. The only lead in the case is a disgraced priest named Father Joe, who claims to be receiving psychic visions of the women's fates, yet his dubious past casts a shadow of doubt over his purported abilities.
Scully, now a practicing physician at a hospital, is torn between her rational, scientific mindset and the emotional pull of her history with Mulder and the X-Files. Despite the skepticism and the struggle with her faith, she joins Mulder in the investigation. As they delve deeper into the case, they confront a series of grotesque and disturbing discoveries that test their beliefs and their relationship. Alongside the FBI's special team, they race against time to unravel the truth behind the abductions, putting themselves in grave danger as they come up against forces that are more complicated and potentially more sinister than they could have anticipated.
