PlotAdam Petrazelli is a high school senior with dreams of becoming a chef, but his life takes a complicated turn when he starts experiencing intense hallucinations. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, Adam struggles to keep his condition a secret and maintain his normal life. After a terrifying incident at school, he transfers to a Catholic academy where he meets Maya, a brilliant and dedicated student who offers tutoring to make extra money. Their friendship blossoms, and Adam is drawn to Maya's strength and kindness. She becomes his anchor, helping him navigate the challenges he faces while hiding his mental illness from those around him.
As Adam battles to keep his mental state under control with medication, he finds solace in cooking, an art that keeps him grounded. However, the side effects of the treatment make it difficult for him to function as he wishes, straining his relationships and academic performance. Adam develops a strong bond with Father Patrick, the school's empathetic priest, who provides guidance and understanding through Adam's turbulent journey. Meanwhile, Adam’s mother and her new boyfriend struggle to support him, leading to tension and misunderstandings within his family. As the pressure mounts, Adam must confront his fears and decide how to live authentically despite the chaos in his mind.
