Unforgiven
Director: Clint Eastwood
Actors: Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman
PlotIn the late 19th century American West, an aged and weary former gunslinger, who has long since abandoned his life of violence to care for his children on a remote farm, reluctantly takes on one last job after a desperate prostitute offers a bounty. She and her fellow workers seek revenge against two cowboys who brutally disfigured one of their own in the small town of Big Whiskey, Wyoming. The ex-outlaw, in need of money and urged by his old friend and former partner, decides to pick up his guns once more and collect the reward, confronting his past in the process.
The hunt for the cowboys sets off a series of events that draw the ire of the town's ruthless sheriff, who rules with an iron fist and has banned all firearms within town limits. A clash of wills ensues as the sheriff, a former gunslinger himself, seeks to protect the cowboys and maintain order, while the ex-outlaw and his companions approach, unwavering in their mission. Moral complexities arise as the lines between justice and vengeance blur, leading to a confrontation that threatens to reignite the violence that the ex-outlaw had left behind.
