PlotA former professional soccer player, George Dryer, is struggling to find his footing after his sports career ends. He moves to Virginia to be closer to his young son, Lewis, whom he has a strained relationship with. George is hoping to rebuild his life and redeem himself in the eyes of his ex-wife, Stacie. When he starts coaching Lewis's soccer team, George quickly finds himself in the midst of a chaotic but heartwarming situation. The mothers of the other children, charmed by his athletic skills and charisma, complicate matters as they all vie for his attention, creating comedic and sometimes awkward scenarios.
As George attempts to navigate his newfound role as a soccer coach, he is also faced with temptations and distractions that threaten to derail his efforts at self-improvement and family reconnection. There are tensions with Stacie, who is now planning to marry her new fiancé, and George finds himself wrestling with past mistakes while striving to be a better father and person. Along the way, he must prove to himself and others that he can be reliable and responsible, not just in the world of sports but in his personal life as well.
