PlotIn 1982, three 11-year-old boys from Mississippi, Chris, Eric, and Jayson, set out to achieve an ambitious dream: to create a shot-for-shot remake of their favorite film, "Raiders of the Lost Ark." With limited resources and no formal training, they spend their entire adolescence and early teenage years piecing together scenes, using homemade props and enlisting friends and family as cast and crew. Passionate and determined, the trio faces numerous challenges, including a devastating basement fire that destroys a significant portion of their work. Despite these setbacks, they press on, fueled by their unwavering love for filmmaking and adventure.
As they grow older and face the trials of adulthood, the project is temporarily shelved, becoming a forgotten relic of their youth. However, years later, a surprising turn of events reignites their enthusiasm for the film, compelling them to reunite and complete the one scene they never managed to finish. What begins as a small act of nostalgia evolves into a celebration of their childhood dreams and relentless spirit. Their dedication and story gains unexpected attention, highlighting the profound impact that their shared journey has had on their lives and inspiring a new generation of aspiring filmmakers.
