My Best Friend's Girl
Director: Howard Deutch
Actors: Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Jason Biggs
PlotTank Turner is a professional at enticing women into terrible dates. His unique job involves taking women out on the worst dates of their lives so they run back to their ex-boyfriends, grateful for what they had. Dustin, who has been recently dumped by his girlfriend Alexis, hires Tank for this exact reason. Despite his hesitations, Tank agrees because he needs the money. However, things take an unexpected turn when Tank finds himself genuinely attracted to Alexis during their awful date, creating a complicated situation.
As Tank spends more time with Alexis, he starts developing real feelings for her, which conflicts with his friendship with Dustin and his professional ethics. The charade begins to falter as Alexis seems to reciprocate Tank's growing affection, adding emotional layers to the initially straightforward scheme. Tank's dilemma intensifies as he has to choose between staying true to his job and friendship, or pursuing a potential genuine relationship with Alexis. The dynamics among the trio evolve, leading to comedic episodes and heartfelt moments that test their relationships and individual desires.
