PlotOn the evening of September 11, 2012, in Benghazi, Libya, a group of Islamic militants attacks the American diplomatic compound. The assault begins unexpectedly, quickly overwhelming the security team as the militants set fire to the compound, killing the American Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, and a foreign service officer. Following the initial mayhem, the security personnel must regroup and prepare for what's to come. Caught off-guard by the ferocity of the attackers and the dire circumstances, they face the daunting task of defending the compound against relentless hostile forces.
With the embassy in flames, a nearby CIA annex is the remaining bastion of security in an increasingly chaotic situation. As the night descends into further violence, six members of the Annex Security Team, composed of former military operators, are called to action. They mount a desperate defense to protect the American diplomatic staff stationed at the annex. Despite their tactical experience, the team finds themselves outmanned and outgunned, fighting valiantly against seemingly insuperable odds, all the while attempting to make sense of the anarchic environment they've been thrust into. Communication lines are blurred, and in the fog of war, the group battles both the militants and the uncertainty of their own chain of command, showcasing their unwavering courage amidst certain peril.
