PlotIn a Mexican city plagued by drug violence, young Estrella's life takes a tragic turn when her mother goes missing. Left alone, she is granted three wishes by her teacher, which initially seem to offer hope. Estrella's lonely journey joins her with a group of orphaned boys led by the resourceful Shé. The group survives by hiding and scavenging on their harsh urban streets, always wary of the dangerous drug cartel that likely had a hand in their families' disappearances. They form a tight-knit but tense makeshift family as they attempt to stay safe.
Confronted with the harsh realities of their world, Estrella's wishes take unexpected turns, bringing both help and hardship to the group. Supernatural elements start to intertwine with their desperate struggle, creating an eerie atmosphere where the boundaries between myth and reality blur. The children navigate their fears and loss while clinging to fleeting glimpses of hope. In their quest for survival, themes of resilience, innocence lost, and the blurred lines between life and death unfold against a backdrop of violence and ghostly encounters.
