Actors: Joyce Hyser, Clayton Rohner, Billy Jayne
PlotTerry Griffith is a smart and attractive high school senior who dreams of becoming a journalist. When she submits an article to a summer internship contest at the local newspaper, she's confident she'll win. However, she's devastated to learn her piece is rejected, and her male classmates earn the coveted spots. Suspecting that her submission was dismissed because of her gender, Terry becomes determined to prove her talents are equal to any boy's. She formulates a plan to transfer to a different high school and enroll as a male student under the guise of "Terry the boy". Disguised with a new haircut and male clothing, she begins her undercover life in an attempt to submit the same article and receive the recognition she feels she deserves.
At the new school, Terry, now navigating the world as a boy, faces unexpected challenges. She befriends Rick, an awkward but kind-hearted teenager, and helps him build confidence, particularly in pursuing his crush. Under her male persona, Terry also experiences the complexities of male bonding and the social pressures teenage boys face. Through her journey, she gains a new perspective on gender roles and the way men and women interact. While her initial motive was to win a contest, Terry's experience quickly evolves into a deeper exploration of her identity and society's expectations.

Just One of the Guys is fun yet predictable with a solid Blu-ray release, though it doesn't match 80s icons.
