PlotEight years after the brutal murder of his wife, Margot, pediatrician Alexandre Beck still mourns her tragic loss. The case, once the focus of a national outcry, has gone cold, and Alex has settled into a life punctuated by grief and the comfort of routine. Until one day, a cryptic email arrives with a link to a surveillance video of a woman who bears a striking resemblance to Margot, along with the message: "Tell no one. They're watching." This ignites a glimmer of hope that his wife might still be alive, plunging Alex into a desperate search for the truth.
As Alex digs deeper, he attracts the attention of both the police, led by Detective Eric Levkowitch, and some dangerous individuals connected to the original crime. His investigation reveals a web of secrets and lies that stretches from his closest friends to the highest levels of power. With the aid of his friend Hélène Perkins, Alex must evade the authorities and navigate through a shadowy underworld to uncover the reality of his wife's past and the mysterious circumstances of the night she was supposedly taken from him. The stakes rise as the mysterious forces behind the email and surveillance pull Alex towards an unimaginable revelation.
