Brian Lackey is an introverted teenager in a small Kansas town who has been haunted by a recurring blackout that happened when he was eight years old. He believes he was abducted by aliens during this mysterious time period. Obsessed with understanding what happened, Brian begins to unravel the fragmented memories—and much of his investigation leads him to connect with Neil McCormick, a confident and sexually adventurous youth who shares a different but related past.
