PlotMaggie is a young, single woman who dreams of becoming a mother and decides to have a child on her own, using a sperm donor. As she embarks on this journey, she meets John, an anthropologist and struggling novelist who is in an unhappy marriage with Georgette, an ambitious academic. Maggie and John develop a deep connection, leading to a romantic relationship that disrupts their respective plans and circumstances.
As Maggie navigates the complexities of love, ambition, and parenthood, she begins to realize the challenges and unexpected turns that life and relationships can bring. Her initial plan evolves into a tangled web of emotions and commitments that test her original intentions, ultimately leading her to reassess what truly matters in her pursuit of happiness and fulfillment.
