PlotMatt Brennan, a former World War II pilot, returns to civilian life and takes a job as a test pilot for an aircraft manufacturing company. The company is run by a driven and ambitious president who is determined to secure a new government contract by developing a cutting-edge supersonic jet. Brennan’s exceptional flying skills and risk-taking nature quickly make him the top choice to test this new experimental aircraft. Meanwhile, an old flame from his past, Jo Holloway, who works as an assistant at the company, reappears in his life, reigniting unresolved feelings. Jo’s presence serves to complicate Brennan’s ambitions and adds a personal dimension to his high-stakes career.
With pressure mounting from the company president to push the aircraft to its limits, Brennan faces escalating tensions both in the skies and in his personal life. As he deals with the technical challenges and safety concerns inherent in testing such an advanced plane, Brennan must confront the ghosts from his past and make choices that will affect his future.
