PlotFour lifelong friends, Thurgood Jenkins, Scarface, Brian, and Kenny, live in New York City. They regularly indulge in smoking marijuana since their school days. One day, Kenny accidentally kills a diabetic police horse by feeding it junk food while attempting to perform a good deed. As a result, he's arrested and is held on a high bail. The trio of Thurgood, Scarface, and Brian decide to raise the necessary money to bail Kenny out. Thurgood, who works as a janitor at a research lab, seizes the opportunity to steal some highly potent medical marijuana from the lab. The group starts selling this unique strain under the brand name "Mr. Nice Guy," which quickly gains popularity in the city, providing them with much-needed cash.
Their newfound success attracts the attention of a local drug lord named Samson Simpson, who demands a cut of their profits. The friends face mounting pressure from both potential rival dealers and law enforcement. Additionally, Thurgood navigates a budding romance with an anti-drug campaigner named Mary Jane, adding complexity to his already challenging life. As they work on their plan to free Kenny, the group must deal with the dangers and ethical dilemmas posed by their decision to enter the drug trade while managing to keep their friendship intact amidst the chaos surrounding them.
