Wild Tales
Director: Damián Szifron
Actors: Darío Grandinetti, María Marull, Mónica Villa
PlotThe film consists of six separate, self-contained stories, all showcasing intense situations where characters are pushed to their emotional and moral limits. The first story unfolds on a plane where passengers realize they have a shared connection with a mysterious individual. The second tale dives into a waitress's moral dilemma when a man responsible for her family's ruin walks into the diner where she works. The third narrative escalates a simple road rage incident into a violent encounter between two men on a deserted highway.
In the fourth story, a wealthy man's son is involved in a hit-and-run accident, leading to sinister negotiations with lawyers and a gardener to avoid jail time. The fifth segment revolves around a demolition expert who becomes exasperated by the infuriating bureaucratic process following his car's wrongful towing. The final story takes place at a wedding reception where the bride discovers her husband's infidelity, igniting chaos that spirals out of control. Each vignette explores themes of revenge, justice, and human vulnerability in the face of extreme emotions.
