Actors: Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas
PlotA family of seven, the Crains, move into Hill House, an old mansion that they intend to renovate and sell, adopting it as both a business venture and a temporary home. The parents, Hugh and Olivia, along with their five children, Steven, Shirley, Theodora, and twins Nell and Luke, begin to experience strange occurrences soon after they arrive. These range from unexplained noises and chilling cold spots to ghostly apparitions that seem to haunt the sprawling estate. As the supernatural events intensify, they particularly affect the sensitive mother, Olivia, and the youngest siblings, Nell and Luke, who form a special connection with the house.
The incessant paranormal activity drives the family to leave the house, but the traumatic experiences stay with them, persisting into their adult lives. The siblings, now grown and estranged, grapple with the lingering effects of their childhood trauma in different ways. Some are skeptical of the supernatural explanations, while others are consumed by them. The past tragedies and unresolved tensions come to a head when a sudden and tragic event compels the family to reunite. As they confront their personal demons and the haunting legacy of Hill House, they must face the terrifying realities of what occurred in their former home and what it might mean for their futures.
