Actors: Keri Russell, JJ Feild, Jennifer Coolidge
PlotJane Hayes is a single woman from New York who is obsessed with Jane Austen's novels, particularly "Pride and Prejudice." Her romantic life has suffered because her high expectations are based on Austen's fictional world. Searching for a way to immerse herself in that fantasy, she spends her life savings on a trip to a British resort that caters to Austen enthusiasts. The resort, designed to mimic the Regency era, offers an immersive experience where guests can engage in activities and relationships typical of Austen's novels.
Upon arrival, Jane adopts the persona of "Miss Jane Erstwhile" and meets other guests, including the flamboyant Elizabeth Charming and the stoic Mr. Nobley. Jane initially struggles to fit in and often finds herself at odds with the resort's scripted romances. As she navigates through the elaborate charades and period-appropriate settings, Jane starts questioning the authenticity of the experiences and her own romantic expectations. She forms an unexpected bond with Martin, a resort employee playing a gardener, which complicates her search for genuine love in this make-believe world.
